History:
Christians have been gathering in this spot in the Kendall Springs community for over 130 years. The church first met in a schoolhouse on the property in the late 1800's and built the first church building in 1911.
The church first went by the name Christian Church, but thirty-five to forty years later, the name was changed to Church of Christ to be a more accurate reflection of the practices and beliefs, modeled after the examples we are given of the early churches in the New Testament.
The original church building stood for many years, but in November 1994 there was a fire and the building burned along with everything in it. The congregation met in the sanctuary of the Richardson Funeral Home until a new building was completed.
Kendall Springs Church of Christ is a place of fellowship for Christians to grow in grace, worship God, and encourage one another. We welcome you to join us!
